The Kingdom of Bahrain reiterated, before the United Nations Committee of 24 (C-24), its support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Morocco over its Sahara, while welcoming the “serious and credible efforts” of the Kingdom aimed at achieving a political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue on the basis of the autonomy initiative, which represents “the fair and sustainable solution” to this dispute.

The Republic of Equatorial Guinea reiterated its support for the autonomy initiative as "the only serious and credible way" to achieve a peaceful and lasting solution to the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Vice-president of the region of Dakhla Oued-Eddahab, Ghalla Bahiya, invited as the democratically elected representative of the southern provinces to the meeting of the Committee of 24 of the United Nations in New York, emphasized the great economic and social development that is taking place in the Moroccan Sahara, saying that this development is benefiting the inhabitants of this region.

MEPs from different political groups on Thursday stood up in Strasbourg against the initiative of some of their colleagues to pass a resolution hostile to Morocco.

The Bureau of the House of Representatives and the Presidents of groups and the parliamentary grouping regretted that the European Parliament is being instrumentalized by some MEPs who flout the important partnership between Morocco and the European Union and that the instruments of partnership and the mechanisms of interaction between the European and Moroccan legislative institutions have not been brought together or activated.
