The Maldives reiterated support for Morocco's autonomy proposal as a solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue.

The recognition by the United States of the full sovereignty of Morocco over its Sahara is a “natural development” of the stances of the US administrations since the beginning of the 2000s, said Monday in Rabat the US ambassador to the Kingdom, David Fischer.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, said Friday that the national issue is at a "significant turning point" with clear parameters and objectives.

The Honduras-Morocco parliamentary friendship group has reiterated its support for the Moroccan autonomy proposal in the southern provinces of the Kingdom, which has been deemed by the international community as a "serious, realistic and credible" option for the settlement of the dispute.

The International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions expressed on Monday its solidarity with Morocco and its support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom over the entire territory of the Moroccan Sahara.
