A large delegation representing the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), the work of the 18th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) of the UN, to be held in Geneva from 12 to 30 September 2011.

Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri said, Thursday night in Manhasset, the underway normalization process of relations between Morocco and Algeria is likely to "contribute to the resolution" of the Sahara issue.

The works of the 8th round of informal talks on the Sahara opened, on Wednesday in Manhasset (New York's suburbs) in the presence of Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania and the polisario, said to MAP the Office of the UN spokesman.

The delegations of the parties to informal talks on the Sahara continue their talks Wednesday, at the eighth round, which runs from 19 to 21 July at the invitation of the Personal Envoy of the Secretary General of the UN, Christopher Ross.

The next informal talks on the Sahara, at the invitation of the UN Secretary General's Personal Envoy Christopher Ross, will be held on July 19-20 in Manhasset (New York's suburbs) in the presence of Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania and the polisario, said on Thursday the Office of the UN spokesman.
