The blocking of the free movement of people and goods by the "polisario" undermines peace and security in the Maghreb and Sahel region, said the deputy speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies (lower house) and Chairman of the Czech-Morocco Friendship Group Vojtech Filip.

The members of the Moroccan community settled in France staged Saturday at Place de la République in Paris a demonstration to condemn the Polisario’s acts of banditry in Guerguarat, and to express support for the Moroccan army’s intervention to secure the free movement of people and goods at the crossing point between Morocco and Mauritania.

The President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, Mr. Alassane Ouattara, assured HM King Mohammed VI of his country's solidarity and full support for the initiatives of the Sovereign aimed at further mobilizing the Secretary General of the United Nations in favor of strict compliance with the status of the buffer zone of El Guerguarat.

The Moroccan diaspora is involved in the campaign to express support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and its actions at the Guerguerat crossing to ensure the region’s stability against Polisario’s maneuvers.

Denmark called for respect for the ceasefire and a return to the political process under the auspices of the United Nations, said Danish Ambassador to Morocco and Mauritania Nikolaj Harris on Tuesday.
