By violating the ceasefire agreement, the polisario armed separatist group "disqualified" itself from any participation in the political process on the Moroccan Sahara and showed the world that it has no place around the round tables, said, Friday on CNN International, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Morocco to the UN, Omar Hilale.

 Morocco intervened at the El Guergarat border post in the service of peace and to unblock an international route to ensure free civil and commercial movement, in accordance with international law and in perfect harmony with the needs of the region and the cease-fire agreement, said, on Thursday in Rabat, Head of Government Saâd Dine El Otmani, noting that the Kingdom's decision enabled a strategic change.

Polisario's announcement of its withdrawal from the ceasefire agreement is extremely serious and undermines the stability of the entire region including the European neighborhood, said Erik Jensen, former special representative of the UN Secretary General for the Sahara.

Morocco's intervention to end the obstruction of civil and commercial traffic at El Guergarate border post received wide support, especially in Africa where several countries have affirmed their support for the " legitimate ”and“ peaceful ” response of the Kingdom and strongly condemned the illegal and provocative actions of Polisario separatists.

During this phone conversation, HH Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani welcomed the decisions taken by HM the King to restore the situation in the region of El Guerguerat in the Moroccan Sahara and commended the Sovereign for the positive results of these decisions which allowed to reopen the crossing for the safe movement of people and goods.
