The Australian Arabic Council (AAC) on Wednesday welcomed Morocco's "peaceful and responsible initiative" aimed at restoring security and easing the free movement of citizens and goods in El Guerguerat, in the Moroccan Sahara.

Belgium believes that it is essential to ensure the freedom of movement and cross-border exchanges at the level of El Guerguarat, underlined on Monday evening the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Affairs foreigners, Sophie Wilmès.

The Global Africa Latina Foundation (Mexico section), the Pacific Coast Women's Steering Committee of the Institutional Revolutionary Party and the Observatory for the Future of Human Rights condemned the “thoughtless” and “unacceptable” behavior committed by Polisario militias to obstruct civil and commercial traffic in the buffer zone of El Guerguarat, affirming that Morocco's intervention to restore order and freedom of transit and trade is in accordance with international legality.

The Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called, in a tweet published Friday evening, for allowing and maintaining the free movement of goods and people at the El Guergarat border post, while underlining its concern over the acts that happened there.

The Peruvian Parliament has welcomed the intervention of Morocco to restore security in the area of ​​El Guerguerat after the destabilizing maneuvers carried out by the "polisario" at the Moroccan-Mauritanian border, calling on the international community to put an end to these provocations.
