Costa Rica said, on Friday before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, that it is in favor of a mutually acceptable political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue.

Guatemala reaffirmed, Thursday before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative in the Sahara, which constitutes "a realistic, credible and serious basis" for the settlement of this regional dispute.

Papua New Guinea expressed, Thursday before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, its support for the Moroccan aspect of the Sahara and for "the laudable" Moroccan initiative of autonomy, which promotes realism and compromise for a durable solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) reaffirmed, Wednesday before the 4th Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, its support for the political process under way under the auspices of the United Nations aimed at reaching a "mutually acceptable political solution" to the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
