Estonia expressed, in its explanation of vote on resolution 2548, its support for the efforts of the UN Secretary-General to find "a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution" to the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, "on the basis of the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council ".

The government of the Republic of Liberia reaffirmed its solidarity and support for the national cause of Morocco, expressing its concern over the latest developments in the buffer zone of El Guerguarat.
