The speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Green March reaffirms the bases of the Kingdom on the Moroccan Sahara, as well as the attachment of Moroccans to their southern provinces.

By adopting Resolution 2494 on the Sahara, the UN Security Council reaffirmed the relevance of the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco and confirmed the growing support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, said the President of the Latin American Center for Democracy Studies, Antonio Yelpi.

Italy commended "Morocco's serious and credible efforts" to resolve the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, underlines the declaration signed Friday in Rabat between Morocco and Italy establishing a multidimensional strategic partnership between the two countries.

The autonomy plan proposed by Morocco is a "serious and credible" basis to resume dialogue with a view to settling the Moroccan Sahara issue, said on Wednesday France's permanent representative to the United Nations, Nicolas de Rivière.

The UN Security Council praised, Wednesday, the role of the Regional Commissions of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) in Dakhla and Laayoune, as well as Morocco's interaction with Special Procedures of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
