The European Union (EU) expressed, on Friday, its readiness to "contribute to measures that can create a positive climate" in the UN process on the Sahara issue, after the "momentum" given to this issue at the first round table meeting, held on Wednesday and Thursday in Geneva

Morocco will continue working with UNSG personal envoy for the Sahara Horst Koehler for the preparation of upcoming events with "the same serenity, positive spirit and clear frame of reference," said, Thursday in Geneva, foreign minister Nasser Bourita.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed, on Tuesday, the decision of Morocco and Algeria to participate in a round-table meeting in Geneva on 5 and 6 December on the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
