A delegation of diplomats from several English-speaking African countries visited Dakhla on Monday to learn about the development momentum underway in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region across a range of strategic sectors.

President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Belgium Vincent Blondel reaffirmed on Friday in Istanbul his country’s clear and unwavering support for the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty, deeming it "the most appropriate, serious, credible, and realistic basis" for reaching a just, lasting, and mutually acceptable political solution to the regional dispute over the Sahara.

The Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe reiterated on Tuesday its steadfast position in support of the Moroccanness of the Sahara and of the autonomy plan under Moroccan sovereignty as the only solution to this regional dispute.

A high-level Ecuadorian delegation visited Dakhla on Friday with the aim of exploring investment opportunities in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region and examining prospects for economic and trade cooperation with the Kingdom as a whole.

Speaker of the House of Councillors Mohamed Ould Errachid held talks on Friday at the House’s headquarters with Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Burundi Gervais Ndirakobuca, who is on a working visit to Morocco to take part in the Conference of the Association of African Senates, recently hosted by the House.
