Togo reiterated Monday before the 4th United Nations Commission its support for Morocco's initiative to grant broad autonomy to the Sahara, describing it as a "constructive step necessary to resolve this crisis".

Côte d'Ivoire reiterated Tuesday, before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative in the Sahara, noting that this initiative is "a good basis for UN talks" aimed at finding a final solution to this regional dispute.

Benin reiterated, on Tuesday before the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly, its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative, which constitutes a "good basis for future negotiations" for a final settlement of the Sahara issue.

Saint Lucia expressed, Monday, support for the United Nations' efforts to reach a "realistic, practical and lasting" solution to the Sahara issue, at the General Debate of the 4th Committee of the General Assembly.

Cameroon told the 4th Committee of the United Nations General Assembly that the resolution of the conflict around the Moroccan Sahara, as part of the ongoing UN political process, will allow the construction of Maghreb and Africa unity, promotion of sustainable development, and emergence of the Great African Common Market.
