Belgian lawyers sent letters in their capacity as international observers to the President and to all members of the European Parliament raising awareness of the optimal conditions for the trial of Gdim Izik.

In his latest report on the Sahara, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Monday to members of the UN Security Council his intention to relaunch the process of negotiations on the basis of realism and compromise with new momentum and  new spirit in order to reach a mutually acceptable political solution to the Sahara issue, in accordance with Security Council resolutions.

In his last report to the Security Council on the Sahara, the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, requested complete and immediate withdrawal of Polisario from the Guerguerat buffer zone.

The Swedish Social Democrats (SAP) Congress, held April 8 through 12 in Gothenburg, unanimously rejected a motion proposed by some members to recognize so-called "SADR", a diplomatic source said.
