France reaffirmed, Thursday, its support for the Moroccan autonomy plan as a serious and credible basis to reach a just, durable and mutually acceptable political solution to the Sahara issue.

The participation in the European Union-African Union Summit, which will take place at the end of November in Abidjan, is not a modification to the European position of non-recognition of the so-called RASD, writes Wednesday "Jeune Afrique", citing one of the spokepersons of the European Commission.

"Rabat Declaration", which was unanimously approved Tuesday by members of the 35th session of the Forum of Speakers of Parliaments of Central America and Caribbean (FOPREL), calls for support for efforts to achieve a a peaceful, final and negotiated solution to the Moroccan Sahara through dialogue and respect for the decisions by the UN Security Council, while preserving the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco in accordance with FOPREL principles.

The Head of Government, Saad Eddine El Othmani, hailed on Saturday the position of the Republic of Saint Lucia concerning territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

On the night of November 7-8 , the European light launcher Vega placed in orbit the first Moroccan satellite, recently baptized Mohammed 6-A. The takeoff took place from the Guiana Space Center on November 8 at 1:42 UTC (22:42 local time) and positioning took place 55 minutes and 33 seconds later.
