French Secretary of State for European Affairs, Harlem Désir, said Monday that the autonomy plan presented by Morocco “remains the basis for settling the Sahara issue. Things are very clear.”

The autonomy initiative for the Sahara is very important as it grants broad powers to the people of the southern provinces, Secretary General of the United Regions Organization/ Forum of Global Association of Regional Governments and Regions Associations (ORU/ FOGAR), Carlos Llorens Vila, said.
