Pacific Island States say autonomy plan 'good option' to end Sahara dispute

The Pacific Island States underlined, here on Thursday, the pertinence of the Moroccan plan to grant large autonomy to the Sahara as "serious and credible," considering it to constitute "a good option to resolve this long standing issue."

UNSC unanimous on urgency of solution to Sahara issue, Loulichki

The members of the UN Security Council unanimously stressed the "urgent need for a solution" to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, said Wednesday in New York, Morocco's ambassador to the UN, Mohamed Loulichki.
