Two members of the Council at a seminar on autonomy at World Federation of Democratic Youth

The political situation in Morocco and recent developments concerning the Sahara issue was the subject of a symposium organized  on Sunday evening in Hanoi on the sidelines of the of 17th conference of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, which is held in the Vietnamese capital on March 10-14.

CORCAS chairman writes to HCR and PAM

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Mr Khalihenna Ould Errachid, wrote a letter to the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees (HCR) and to the Executive Director of the World Food program (WFP).
The Council also received a response from Ms. Nayla Saber, regional director in charge of the World Food Program for  the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe

Autonomy Plan: "innovative approach that should be supported"

Autonomy plan in the southern provinces of the Kingdom, which was proposed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, attraected the attention of officials, diplomats and members of the U.S. Congress, who described this proposal as "innovative approach to be supported" and "significant contribution" to settle the Sahara issue.

Sahara dispute obliges Sahrawis on Algerian soil to live humiliation 

Ms. Gajmoula Bint Abi member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs said Friday evening , October 6, 2006 before the Fourth Committee of the United Nations in New York that the Sahara conflict mortgages the future of Arab Maghreb and obliges Sahrawis who are over the Algerian territory to live humiliated.

Algeria had breached its international obligations towards the detained population in Tindouf Camps 

  Mr. Ibrahim Bilali, member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs said on Friday, October 6, 2006 at the United Nations in New York, that Algeria had breached its international obligations towards the population in camps of Tindouf, southern Algeria.
