Nouakchott Info: Nouakchott Info newspaper said on Friday that "participatory and inclusive" dimension which was present in the various stages relating to the preparation of the Moroccan autonomy proposal for the southern provinces is an unprecedented step, and gives greater credibility to the project. 

Ilaf: An official source said that the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was briefed today in Marrakesh (south) on the project which will be submitted by Morocco to the United Nations to settle the dispute over Western Sahara. The Emir of Kuwait, who is paying a two day official visit to Morocco, met the chairman of the Royal Advisory of Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, which includes notables Saharans loyal to Morocco.

Asharq Al Awsat: Corcas chairman, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, said that he submitted autonomy project proposal to the Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI for ratification. The project aims to give the Saharan population large authorities to conduct their own affairs under Moroccan sovereignty, believing it will be a final solution, sparing the region from «instability».

Asharq Al Awsat: in a diplomatic initiative, the first of its kind since the outbreak of the Sahara dispute, China expressed its willingness «to play a positive role for the settlement of the Sahara issue hoping an appropriate solution to this issue will be achieved through dialogue and consultations within the framework of the United Nations».
