The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid held on Monday in Rabat, talks with a delegation from the National Institute for Political and Strategic Studies in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, during which he briefed on the latest developments in the Sahara, especially the Moroccan plan to grant enlarged autonomy to the southern regions.

The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Mr. Ould Errachid Khalihenna, met Friday in Rabat, with Mr. Philippe Moureaux, Minister of Federal State, Vice-President of the Belgian Socialist Party and Mayor of the municipality of Molenbeek, who is paying a working visit to the Kingdom.

The municipal council of the city of Laayoune held on Saturday the signing of the twinning between municipalities of Laayoune and Italian Sorrento to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two cities in the political, economic, social, cultural and scientific fields. This twinning with a European city is a historically unprecedented event in the Sahara region.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives of Colombia, Mr. German Varon Cotrino, described, Thursday in Rabat, the autonomy plan for the Sahara as "most viable".
