Gabon reaffirmed before the United Nations its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative, which constitutes a “serious and credible basis” to resolve the regional dispute around the Moroccan Sahara in respect of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Qatar reiterated before the 4th Committee of the United Nations General Assembly its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Morocco, as well as for the Moroccan autonomy initiative, designed to achieve a "realistic and lasting" settlement to the question of the Moroccan Sahara.

Kuwait reiterated, before the 4th Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, its support for the Moroccan autonomy plan for the Southern Provinces of the Kingdom, welcoming the adoption of Resolution 2797 of the United Nations Security Council on the Moroccan Sahara.

Several petitioners denounced at United Nations Headquarters in New York the recruitment and indoctrination of children in the Tindouf camps, controlled by "polisario" militias, while sounding the alarm over the lack of prospects for young people in the camps and the resulting risks of exploitation and radicalization.

On Wednesday, several speakers before the Fourth Committee of the UN General Assembly denounced the established collusion between the separatist Polisario movement and terrorist groups active in the Sahel-Sahara region, warning of the growing risks this situation poses to regional stability and security.
