The adoption by the UN Security Council of Resolution 2797, which considers the autonomy plan as the basis for resolving the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, marks “a big step forward,” said the new US Ambassador to Morocco, Duke Buchan.

Leaders of the Sahrawi tribes in the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region hailed the UN historic Resolution 2797, paying tribute to the wise and visionary diplomacy led by HM King Mohammed VI.

The Kingdom of Eswatini reaffirmed on Wednesday in Rabat its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity, for the Kingdom’s sovereignty over its Sahara, and for the autonomy plan as the "only credible, serious, and realistic solution" to the regional dispute.
