The Moroccan initiative autonomy for the Sahara is a democratic option for progress towards a final  settlement of the artificial conflict created around the territorial integrity of Morocco, said Tuesday Pr Abdelhamid El Ouali.

A large number of Mauritanians victims of arbitrary detention and torture in Polisario jails announced Monday their intention to bring their case before public opinion and international organizations, including the United Nations, to claim justice and rehabilitation.

The Regional integration of the Maghreb is blocked in large part because of the dispute over the Sahara issue, said Eneko Landaburu, Director General for External Relations of the European Commission.
