Corcas is preparing an autonomy for the Sahara inspired by Spain

Diario De Sevilla: Sahrawis loyal to the Moroccan king insist on the Polisario to negotiate about autonomy. The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs insisted yesterday on Polisario to negotiate a way out of the dispute over Western Sahara, which has lasted for more than thirty years. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, the chairman of the Council created by King Mohammed VI last March, revealed some elements of the draft prepared by the Council for submission next October to the UN Security Council.

Khalihenna: if Morocco is economically interested in the Sahara it will not decide to grant it autonomy with its economy managed by its institutions.

Mr. Ould Errachid was interviewed by the Spanish TV channel Canal Sur in the context of the preparation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs of the proposed solution to end the dispute over the Sahara which will be soon submitted to the UN Secretary-General.

Corcas delegation to visit the region of Andalusia from 05 to 07 June 2006

 Following the termination by the delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs of a tour in the Canary Islands, the delegation is expected Monday in Andalusia for a three-day visit to explain and clarify the Moroccan initiative to grant autonomy to the southern provinces under Moroccan sovereignty, and to take advantage of the Spanish experience in the application of expanded self-rule system.

Corcas calls on Polisario to adopt autonomy and abandon dogmatism

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, called on the Polisario Front to join "as soon as possible" the Council created by King Mohammed VI and in the proposal granting self-government for Western Sahara, so as to make "peace, development and decent living definitely "in the region, despite Polisario’s dogmatism inherited from the past“.

Khalihenna: Polisario Front in difficult situation and does not respond to the realities of global changes

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid and the delegation accompanying him made on Monday, a press conference in Seville in the context of a visit by the delegation to Andalusia to explain the contents of the Moroccan proposal to resolve the Sahara dispute.
