Several Moroccan expatriates in Ireland railed, here Friday, against the serious human rights breaches perpetrated in the camps of Tindouf, southwestern Algeria.

The autonomy plan proposed by Morocco "is likely to bring bout a negotiated political solution" to the Sahara issue, "said Speaker of Sicily's regional, Francesco Cascio.

Participants at a conference Monday in Brussels, called the European Union to support the Moroccan autonomy initiative as "the only realistic and feasible" solution to the Sahara issue.

 Hungary reiterated support for Morocco's project to grant substantial autonomy to its southern provinces, known as the Sahara.

French Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, said Morocco's proposal to grant autonomy to its southern provinces, the Sahara, "deserves to be discussed seriously," adding that the option of a referendum "has not worked so far."
