U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, reiterated on Wednesday the United States' firm support to the efforts of the United Nations Organization to settle the Sahara dispute between Morocco and the Algerian-backed separatist movement, The Polisario.

 Senegalese Minister of State for Foreign Affairs described as"coherent" Morocco's proposal to grant substantial autonomy to its Southern Provinces, The Sahara, in a bid to solve the 32-year dispute between the north African country and the Algerian-backed separatist movement "Polisario" over the control of this land.

"Polisario's obstinance and its war threats constitute a tragedy, particularly for the sahrawis, held against their will in Tindouf camps (southwestern Algeria)," affirmed CEO of Moroccan American Center for Policy (MACP), in a letter to the editor, published Friday by the Washington Times.

A woman and her two sons, beneficiaries of the HCR-led family visit exchange between Morocco's Southern Provinces, the Sahara, and Polisario-run Tindouf camps, have decided to stay in the southern city of Dakhla to put an end to years of suffering in Lahmada and Tindouf camps, southwestern Algeria.
