Khalihenna: All Spanish parties lacked the truth about the Sahara conflict

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid considered the visit by a delegation from the Council to Spain in May 2006 as "very fruitful", adding that the delegation received requests to continue communication and interpretation of Moroccan dimensions and goals to grant the project a broad autonomy to the Sahara region .

A Moroccan delegation composed of Corcas members led by Khalihenna Ould Errachid met with officials of the Spanish Workers Union UGT in the framework of a tour by the Council to present Moroccan initiative to solve the Sahara conflict.

Corcas members met on Tuesday at the labour commissions headquarters with officials from (CC.OO), including responsible for Institutional Relations Salvador Banguez and president of Migration and International Cooperation Department Mohamed Anwar Haidour.

Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid held talks on Tuesday with members of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Spanish House of Deputies (lower house of parliament (in the framework of the Council tour to present the Moroccan initiative to solve the Sahara conflict.

The delegation of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, headed by its chairman Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, continued talks on Monday and Tuesday in Madrid with many politicians, parliamentarians and trade union officials. During the meetings, Mr. Ould Errachid explained to his interlocutors the philosophy behind the setting up of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, and its composition which reflects the reality of the Saharan in addition to its tasks, which include the development of a scheme of self-government for the Sahara to put an end to this conflict which has lasted more than 30 years
