HM King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, addressed a message to His brother, His Excellency Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen, President of the State of Palestine, in which the Sovereign expressed His satisfaction with the content of the important telephone conversation He had with His Excellency on Thursday, December 10, which was marked by a fruitful dialogue and reciprocal interaction on the constant position of the Kingdom of Morocco on the Palestinian issue, and its permanent and continuous commitment to the defense of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The US decision to recognize Morocco's full sovereignty over its Sahara should provide a strong impetus to efforts to find a solution to the Sahara issue under the Moroccan autonomy plan, said Erik Jensen, Former head of MINURSO mission.
