Morocco's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Majda Moutchou, has criticized the "blatant and selective double standards" to which the Algerian ambassador to the UN resorted regarding the expansion of MINURSO's mandate to include the human rights component, denouncing "selective political manipulation".

Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita met, on Monday in Rabat, with the UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy for the Moroccan Sahara, Staffan de Mistura, as part of the latter’s regional tour.
