The Troika mechanism is not a mechanism for managing or proposing voicing propositions on the Moroccan Sahara issue, but rather a mechanism for accompanying and supporting the exclusive efforts of the United Nations, underlined, Sunday in Rabat, the minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita.

The American decision to recognize the full and entire sovereignty of Morocco over the whole of its Sahara inaugurates "a reinforced momentum in favor of a realistic and lasting political solution based on compromise in the framework of autonomy," said Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad Nasser Bourita in a column published Wednesday by the magazine Jeune Afrique.

Peruvian MP Martha Chavez Cossio affirmed that her country is called upon to support Morocco in the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, noting that the Kingdom is an ally of Peru in a "complex region".

 The U.S. recognition of the Moroccanness of the Sahara makes it possible to move forward towards a "lasting" settlement of the Sahara issue, said Thursday French MP and former Speaker of the French National Assembly, François De Rugy.

The United Nations published, on Wednesday, the letter sent recently by the Permanent Representative of Morocco, Ambassador Omar Hilale, to the UN Secretary General and to the Council Security, in which he denounces the instrumentalization by South Africa of its presidency of the African Union, in order to advance its ideological and political agenda on the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.
