The European Union and Morocco are adopting for the first time a common language on the Sahara issue, said, on Thursday in Brussels, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-president of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini.

The European Union has welcomed "the serious and credible efforts led by Morocco" in the political process aiming to reach a political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue.

The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (Corcas) is taking part in the forty-first session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) which started on Monday 24th June 2019 at the Palais des Nations, Geneva and will continue until 12 July.

Speaking before the Committee of 24 of the United Nations, Monday in New York, the ambassador, Chargé d'Affaires of Algeria, nervously spoke out against the 15 countries that have all cited Algeria's responsibility as one of the four participants in the Geneva round table meetings, claiming that his country "is not a party but just an observer".

The Kingdom of Bahrain reiterated on Tuesday its support for Morocco's legitimate rights over its southern provinces and all efforts aimed at reaching a political solution to the Sahara issue in the framework of the kingdom's sovereignty and its development initiative in this region.
