A visiting delegation of Mauritanian political parties of the majority, on Wednesday, expressed its full support for Morocco's offer to grant substantial autonomy to its Southern Provinces -the Sahara.

the year 2007 was undoubtedly, a historical turning point for the Sahara issue, thanks to the Moroccan initiative for negotiating an autonomy statute for the Sahara region, following extensive consultations both at national and international levels.

Algeria should be held responsible for human rights violations committed in the Tindouf camps by "Polisario" , since these violations are committed on its soil, with the blessing and under the control of Algerian military and civilian officials, said the Saharawi Association of Human Rights. 

The Special Committee in charge of the Moroccan Sahara "(CSCSM) strongly denounced, in an open letter to the American Secretary of State Mrs. Condoleeza Rice, the holding in Tifariti of separatists congress which " defies the Security Council, which called on the parties to create an atmosphere conducive to dialogue and success of the ongoing negotiations in paragraph 2 of its resolution 1783 in October 2007".
