The Moroccan people commemorate November 18, with immense pride and honor the 70th anniversary of their glorious Independence Day. This day embodies the highest ideals of unity between the Alawite Throne and the Moroccan people—unity forged through a decades-long struggle to defend the nation’s sovereignty, preserve its territorial integrity, and uphold its sacred values.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC) Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, on Tuesday, praised Morocco’s active role and its ongoing contributions within the Union, notably in promoting peace, development, and regional cooperation.

Morocco diplomacy, as deployed under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, rests on a philosophy of “action” and the “concrete” to embody an exceptional trajectory, said, on Saturday in Dakhla, Morocco’s ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, Omar Hilale.

The Republic of Senegal has welcomed the historic adoption on October 31, 2025 by United Nations Security Council of Resolution 2797 which enshrines, within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty, the preeminence of the autonomy plan proposed by the Kingdom as the only basis for serious, credible and sustainable to reaching a political solution to the artificial conflict on the Sahara.

The United Kingdom reaffirmed before the United Nations Security Council its support for the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative as "the most credible, viable and pragmatic basis" for achieving a final solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
