The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, is responsible for autonomy in Western Sahara being prepared for Morocco. He explains the role that should be played by the Canary Islands in order to convince Polisario of the Moroccan project advantages. He denies allegations on Human rights braches in the region and exploitation of its natural resources.

CORCAS chairman calls on Algeria to help ease dialog with Sahrawis on its territory

Algeria has to help settle the Sahara issue by easing dialog with the Sahrawis living on its territory, Said Khalihenna Ould Errachid, chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Sahrawi Affairs (CORCAS), adding the autonomy proposed by Morocco for its southern provinces "will be beneficial for all."

Council delegation meets the Moroccan community residing in Canary Islands

Corcas delegation headed by Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, who was accompanied by the Council's Secretary-General  Mr. Maoulainain Ben Khalihenna met with the Moroccan community and the people from southern provinces at the headquarters of the Moroccan consulate in Las Palmas on Saturday in presence of the Kingdom's Consul.

The Moroccan representative spent some days in the Islands holding meetings with associations and unions in order to explain Moroccan proposal to the Sahara which offers autonomy to the region. He believes that through this project he will put an end to 30 years of conflicts, and problems. Ould Errachid believes that the Canary Islands support is essential.
