Mr. Khalihenna talks with advisers of presidency, justice and official government spokesman in the Canary Islands

In a meeting with members of the local government of Canary Islands, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid gave a detailed presentation on the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, and stressed that the most important tasks assigned to him is to contribute actively to the project of granting autonomy to the southern provinces of the Kingdom, as a final and realistic solution to the Sahara conflict.

In a statement to Canary islands television, the chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Sahara Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, said that the Polisario represents only a small number of Sahrawis living in Tindouf camps in Algeria, who do not enjoy full freedom to express their real opinions. The President of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Ould Errachid Khalihn said Thursday in Las Palmas that the autonomy proposed by Morocco is "the best and only solution" to the Sahara conflict, highlighting that this solution would serve the interests of the Canary Islands.
