Presentation of the interviewer: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to this special meeting.The last visit of the Sovereign to the Southern Provinces was characterized by  His Majesty Mohammed VI declaration, in his Royal speech, last March 25th, concerning the nomination of the CORCAS’s new members. According to this speech, the CORCAS became a strong force to make propositions to defend the national unity of the Kingdom and the development of the Southern Provinces.

Corcas sets its structure

Assahra Al Maghribiya: The election of the Vice Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs took place the day before yesterday, Thursday, in Rabat without incidence. Ballot was based on relative majority hence not giving space to potential friction. Members left satisfied including successful candidates, losers and or voting members.

Al Sharq Al Awsat: The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs was completed the day before yesterday in Rabat, in its first meeting since his creation by the Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI last March 25 in Laayoune, a major provincial city in the Moroccan Sahara. The meeting agenda focused on rules of procedure to be submitted to King Mohammed VI, and the election of nine Vice-Presidents, who make up the Council’s bureau.
