Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries reaffirmed, here Sunday, the unwavering positions and decisions of the GCC Supreme Council supporting the Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara and the preservation of peace and security of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The geopolitical horizon of the Moroccan Sahara issue was the focus of the first political seminar of the Coalition for Autonomy in the Sahara, organized Thursday in Dakhla, in the presence of prominent national and international figures.

French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Stéphane Séjourné reiterated, on Monday in Rabat, his country's "clear and constant" support for the Moroccan autonomy plan in the Southern provinces, emphasizing that it is time for France to move forward on this issue.

The Moroccan Sahara issue is no longer on the agenda at the African Union, as the 37th Summit of Heads of State and Government, the supreme body of the pan-African institution, made no reference or quotation on the national question, said Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
