The African Union Assembly, the supreme organ of the pan-African institution, has reaffirmed the United Nations' exclusivity on the Moroccan Sahara issue, avoiding any reference, quotation or debate on this issue.

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, received on Monday, a delegation of senators of the Republic of Uruguay, in the context of a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from 18 to 25 February 2023.

Morocco is facing a number of MEPs who are using the European Parliament (EP) as a platform to attack the Kingdom in an organized manner and with great resources, said Lahcen Haddad, chairman of the Moroccan-European Union (EU) Joint Parliamentary Committee, on Wednesday in Rabat.

The Committee on Foreign Policy, International Relations and Parliamentary Diplomacy in the Andean Parliament reaffirmed its consistent position in favor of the Kingdom's territorial integrity and the Moroccan Autonomy Plan, thus refuting the statements of its chairperson at the 17th Conference of the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held recently in Algeria.

Spain reiterated its position on the Sahara issue, expressed in the Joint Statement adopted on April 7, 2022, during the meeting between His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez, said the joint statement issued at the end of the 12th session of the Morocco-Spain High-Level Meeting, held Thursday in Rabat.
